  • 400gr cod
  • 300gr cauliflower rolls
  • 400gr rice
  • 4 garlic
  • 1 onions
  • 2 artichokes
  • 100gr peas
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2dl Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Paprika
  • Saffron
  • Salt
  • 1 1/4 l. water

Step by step

    Leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving. Catalan people usually have this dish for Lent.

  2. Step 2

    Chop the cod fish and roast it over the flame. Remove the skin and bones, desalt it and shred it. Remove the artichokes’ harder petals and cut them in quarters. In a clay pot, sauté some finely chopped onion in olive oil until golden, then add some paprika, grated tomato and cook over low heat.
    Once it is cooked, add the artichoke quarters, stir and pour in the rice. Cook it over high heat for a little while and add boiling water. Chop the cauliflower and add it to the pot together with the cod fish and peas. Flavour with tasted saffron.
    Cooking time is 18 minutes. Taste it to check the content of salt.
